Here are some of the wonderful responses I received on Tumblr to this food stamp hater public shaming post from the other night:

I had to really question whether I wanted to take time out of my life to address someone who called me a “butthurt liberal,” especially when they go by “It’s Always Sunny In My Butthole.” But, anyway…

Let me attempt to break this down for you fucking idiots:

1) With a $297 paycheck, this girl would be on food stamps herself without the help of mommy and daddy. To complain about food stamps, a social service that provides people with food, while you are living off the parental dole is, in fact, extremely hypocritical.

2) The majority of the $48.57 taken out of her paycheck does not go to “provide food for lazy people.” To give you an example, a person making $50k a year will pay just $36.82 into the food stamp program. That breaks down to about 10 cents a day.

3) This whole notion of “paying for strangers” is absolutely ridiculous. We are not wild fucking animals. We are human beings and we have this thing called a “society” which we all depend on to function properly to survive. This girl can depend on her parents. She does not seem to understand OTHERS (hence “tweets of privilege”) may not be so lucky. There are children out there who may not have anyone to depend on. These children, who would die without the social safety net, may grow up to be doctors, scientists - hell, these kids may grow up to become educators for your future shitty kids. A percentage of *MY* money likely goes to pay for the roads that lead out of your bumblefuck town. I will probably never use the roads to your shitty house. You won’t hear me complaining about this “forced charity.” Why? Because this is fine with me because it’s called living and functioning in a healthy society, you twats.

So, in conclusion, thank you for providing public shaming material right on a public shaming post. It made things super easy for me!

I think I reblogged this before but it is such a good counter argument to people who complain about taxes&etc.

Virtual supermarkets are popping up in subway stations in South Korea, where commuters can virtually shop for items while waiting for the train to come. Customers simply scan an item’s QR code using the free “Homeplus” app and can have it delivered to their doorstep before they even get home. Ranked as the 2nd most hard-working country in the world to Japan, South Korea is rewarding its workers with this timesaving gem.

Wow! I kinda love this idea.
